If plenty of action is your thing and you are looking to put a bend in the rod, Broad Oak is just the place. Covering approximately 2 acres, with depths reaching 16 feet through the centre. Fringed by marginal soft rush and bordered by cherry laurel and mature woodland, the lake feels peaceful and secluded from the surrounding landscape. The lake supports some weed growth, although this is generally low lying and remains easily fishable with the correct rig choice. As a clay-dug lake, much of the bottom is firm with very little silt. Broad Oak has been specifically developed as our action water. It is stocked with home-grown common and mirror carp ranging from approximately 5lb to 25lb, with most fish sitting comfortably between these weights. Catching is obviously never guaranteed, but if you get it right, bites will be non stop.
