HIXHAM HALL

Hixham Hall is truly a special gem that’s been lost in the Hertfordshire countryside for many decades. The lake covers approximately 2.5 acres, with depths reaching 6-7 ft. Surrounded by mature trees and miles of open countryside, with no major roads or towns in sight, Hixham Hall offers an exceptionally peaceful and secluded setting. It contains an abundance of natural features, weed, aquatic vegetation and other natural life, creating a rich and healthy environment in which the fish can thrive. Hixham Hall is deliberately low stocked, holding approximately 25 carp. This careful approach has allowed its residents to grow significantly, with the lake now boasting around eight to ten carp over 30lb, a strong head of quality twenties and very few fish below 20lb. The low stock levels can make Hixham Hall a challenging venue, but the rewards are well worth the effort. Its relatively shallow nature also gives the lake a good winter form for those anglers willing to brave the conditions. The venue also holds some specimen sized Perch, Rudd and Pike.
