The Pond goes against the trend of modern carp fishing by offering something very different and increasingly difficult to find: a water containing no king carp. Located a short walk from our Broad Oak lake, The Pond covers approximately half an acre. What it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in character. Supporting an abundance of aquatic plants, while mature trees, established bushes, sedges and rushes create a picturesque and intimate setting. It celebrates traditional fishing, with big tench up to double figures and true crucians, which 500 was stocked in 2023 as part of the crucian restoration project. It is the perfect place to step away from modern carp fishing and spend a peaceful day watching a float or quiver tip.
